Computer Simulation of Flow Field in Tower Continuous Vacuum Dryer

The simulation method of CFD was used to investigate the gas pressure and velocity 3D field of tower continuous vacuum dryer. The standard turbulence model was adopted. Material zone was set as porous medium zone. Darcy law, Ergun equation and porous medium interface jump boundary condition was applied. The result shows that the pressure of vacuum outlet should lower the pressure of material inlet and outlet. It should be used 8000 Pa of vacuum outlet, 9000 Pa of grain inlet and outlet. At the bottom of last drying stage, it should set vacuum pipeline to improve the gas field to improve the device the performance. The pressure and velocity of air is uniformly distributed along height of dryer. It is not the main factor of drying quality. On the top of every drying stage of the vacuum dryer, adopting three horny pipelines has better velocity uniformity for cross section of drying room.
